Kali Besar is an 18th century aqueduct, built along the Ciliung River in Jakarta, linking the port to Batavia's Old Town. Nearly 300 years ago it was lined with the homes of the rich and famous in Batavia, and today you can still see antiquities of this period, some of which have been restored, located near the Jakarta Historical Museum.
