Kalba Castle is located on the eastern coast of the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. It was recently restored and reopened as a museum and a tourist attraction in the city. It was built by the Portuguese in 1624 after they had seized a former Islamic fort on this site. The Portuguese from the region and the Arabs built their own fortress on the remains of the fortress built by the Portuguese commander Gaspar Leite.
