The Johannesburg Botanical Gardens were established in 1964, where they included many roses. The garden later expanded, with an area of about 125 hectares, and it includes many types of plants and roses. The Rose Garden is the most famous of its parts, as it includes more than 10,000 roses. The park also includes a restaurant, a library and an area dedicated to planting herbs, and is considered one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city.
