Thousands of plants and trees are displayed in this spacious 70-hectare botanical garden, which was opened in 1958, but afforestation began in 1945. The garden includes 100 types of palm trees, and 80 other types of trees and herbs, in addition to the natural forest. It also contains a large artistic encyclopedia. This is the first botanical garden in Venezuela, and it was part of the University of Caracas project. It is a beautiful and interesting place worth visiting.
