Information about Iskenderpasa Mosque
Iskandar Pasha Mosque is a historical mosque located in the Fatih district of Istanbul; It was given to him by Iskandar Pasha in 1505, who lived during the time of Mehmed the Conqueror and served as the vizier of Bayezid II. Iskandar Pasha died in 1507, so it is assumed that the mosque was built at the end of the fifteenth century or at the beginning of the sixteenth century. The mosque took its other name, "Takim Mosque" from the Janissary barracks located next to it in the past. It is characterized by the beauty of its architecture and design from the outside and inside, as there are Islamic decorations that fill its ceilings and walls, so do not miss visiting it.
