The International Fire Museum is the largest museum dedicated to fire brigades in Germany, with an area of more than 4,500 square metres. The museum presents the history of firefighting and fire brigades, the technical and political development in this field, as well as the social history of firefighters. The museum houses more than 15,000 exhibits, including 112 firefighting vehicles, 700 oxygen tubes, and 450 helmets, as well as an international collection of more than 1,200 exhibits of firefighting letters and postcards.
