Ibrahim Pasha's forts are very durable and one of the few structures that have survived from the Ottoman period in the region, built by Ibrahim Pasha in the 1830s to resist attacks from the east, in a strategic location overlooking the city and its suburbs. These forts consist of three main bastions, the Red bastion, which consists of three stories, and there are the bastions of the earth and the pear fort, which is called the remains of underground structures not easily seen in the forest lands to the northeast of the original forts.
