This natural area is located in the middle of several German towns, including the town of Schmallenberg. It is a nature reserve that extends over an area of 14 kilometers. Visitors will find forests filled with beech and citrus trees, small valleys and natural springs. The most distinctive feature of this area are two natural swamps that are more than 8000 years old. Tourists prefer to visit this area in the spring when flowers and roses flood the land.
