This famous park is located in the northeastern part of the old town of Suzhou, and it is one of the distinctive monuments and listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1997. It has been classified as an important unit for the protection of the main cultural and tourism monuments in China. It extends over an area of 5.2 hectares, and is divided into 3 distinct areas with running water, surrounded by mountains, rivers and magnificent traditional pavilions, and adorned with lush trees and brightly colored flowers.
