A 1.2 km long tunnel that cuts its way through hard rock and took 19 years of construction since the beginning of 1954. The road to Milford was very difficult, and this tunnel was the magic solution for easy access to it. Although the Homer Tunnel is wide enough for a bus and a small car, there are traffic lights that operate during the busy summer months to maintain order and security. The view of entering and exiting it is truly amazing, when you enter you will be amazed by this engineering marvel, and when you exit from it you will be amazed by the beauty of the nature around you!
