Built in 1910 to mark the centenary of Mexican independence, the famous Hidalgo market was set apart from traditional markets because it was usually seen only as a railway station. Upon entering, you will see stalls selling souvenirs, ranging from classic T-shirts, to traditional Sharamoska and antiques in the form of mummies. Like most markets, there is a food court, which serves the most popular Mexican meals, such as tacos and the traditional three-course fondue.
