Information about Herzog-Friedrich-Turm
Located in the west of Freudenstadt, this magnificent watchtower is the city's oldest building, opened in 1890 to commemorate the city's inauguration. The tower is 799 meters above sea level and has a total height of 25 metres. The watchtower has two platforms revolving around the tower in the form of a fortress. The tower and these two platforms were built of red sandstone, and the building is considered unique because there are not many buildings built of that stone in Germany. From the tower, you can get a majestic view of the city and its surroundings, so do not miss the opportunity to visit it.
