The largest railway station in Switzerland is distinguished by its beautiful monumental building filled with distinctive decorations. The station is located in the old part of the city center of Zurich, specifically at the confluence of the rivers Sihl and Lelim. It is the city's first railway station, and was built and designed by architect Gustav Albert Wegmann in 1871, and a new building was added to expand the station designed by architect Jacob Weiner.
