The rocky monastery of Hankrumovsky is located on the Shomen plateau near the village of Khan Krum in the western slope of Kalogerovo Boaz, accessed by a spiral staircase hewn in the rock. The church of the monastery differs from other rock churches in the region because it has a semi-circular shape in its northern and southern walls, and next to it there is another large hall, which may have been used as a bedroom. This monastery is considered one of the best preserved rock monasteries in Bulgaria.
