Buk National Park, which is considered one of the most beautiful natural environments in Hungary, includes Lake Hamori in the eastern part of the Buk Mountains at an altitude of 350 meters, a length of one and a half kilometers and a depth of nine meters. By increasing the water production of the Senva and Garadna from the dam whose design was one of the most important engineering achievements of the eighteenth century, between 1932 and 1944, swimming was allowed in Lake Hamori, and today it can be sailed and boated, and in winter, the frozen lake can be used for ice skating. .
