Information about Gyeonghuigung
Jeonghyeong Palace is one of the Five Great Palaces in Seoul. It was also called Seogwiel (which means "Western Palace") because it is located west of the main palace, Gyeongbokgung. The palace was part of a vast complex with 100 buildings in total, but most of them were destroyed during Japanese occupation, after extensive restoration work, reopened to the public in 2002, and on its grounds stands the Seoul Museum of History and the Jeonghyeong Annex Building of the Seoul Museum of Art, where a variety of Korean art can be viewed.
