This museum is named after the German scientist Johann Gutenberg, who contributed to the development of printing and publishing in the city after he invented the metal printing technique. The Gothenburg Museum is home to the oldest wood-based printer, dating back to the 1700's. In it you will also find some rare prints that have been preserved from the fifteenth century to the present day, as well as copies of the Bible.
