The Emir Complex or Gur Emir is the mausoleum of the Turkish Mughal conqueror Timur, also known as Tamerlane. This mausoleum is considered one of the best examples of Mughal architecture in Central Asia, where visitors will find a huge gate covered with magnificent Islamic decorations and an emerald-coloured dome, and inside the mausoleum they will find magnificent mosaics and majestic carvings. This complex also includes the tombs of the children and grandchildren of Timur.
