The Great Mosque is located in Tlemcen and is the fourth oldest mosque in Algeria in the heart of the city. Do not hesitate to dedicate some time to visit it, whether with family or friends. This mosque was built by the Almoravid dynasty during their rule in the country, specifically under the rule of Sultan Yusuf bin Tashfin. It is a very large mosque with a majestic Almoravid design. The designers relied upon its decoration on marble, porcelain and wood. And a large prayer hall, which is very similar to the mihrab of the Andalusian Mosque of Cordoba.
