Information about Grant Park
Grant Park is a large, 319-acre urban park that features Buckingham Fountain, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Campus Museum. Originally known as Lake Park, this park dates back to the early founding of the city, and was renamed in 1901, to honor U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant, and the park area has been expanded several times. This park is an ideal place for a picnic, with green grassy spaces, you can also enjoy watching the water shows of the fountain, and visit exhibitions and museums.
