The Great Husseini Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Amman. It was rebuilt by King Abdullah I (Abdullah I) in 1932 AD on the site of the mosque built by the second Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab (Omar Bin Al-Khattab) around 640 AD. Since its establishment more than eight decades ago, the Al Husseini Mosque has been the link between the downtown area of the capital and an important gathering place for people from all walks of life.
