Great Central Shopping Center is a shopping center located above the New Street railway station in Birmingham, England and opened on 24 September 2015. It is currently owned by Hammerson and CPPIB, having been acquired by Hammerson from Birmingham City Council in January 2016 for 335 million pounds sterling. The original center was built in 1971 as part of the rebuilding of Birmingham New Street Station below. It was known as Birmingham Shopping Center before it was renamed The Pallasades. It has many famous stores and is decorated in a very modern style.
