Golkoy Dam is one of the huge dams located in Bolu, which was built between 1965 and 1970, to conserve the largest amount of falling water, and to distribute it fairly and equally to the surrounding villages. Today, this dam is not only a place to conserve water, but has become one of the most important tourist facilities in the city.
