By enlarging and turning ordinary objects into giant sculptures, Claes Oldenburg became known around the world as a master of pop art. The artist turned Münster into a pool table in 1977, a nod to the city's war history and the love of its citizens. For hot air balloons, three giant balls remain in the large Asi Garden, and although they are immobile, when standing next to them one feels that they are about to roll.
