The German Migration Center is the largest museum on migration in Europe, and was opened on August 8, 2005 in Bremerhaven. The museum depicts more than 300 years of German immigration, especially to the United States, as it presents true stories from the history and details of immigrant families, and enables visitors to experience the immigration process through various interactive exhibits, and also provides them with access to immigration records databases.
