In 2005, the Gendarmerie Museum was opened, which was created to introduce the history of the organization of the gendarmerie and the level it has reached today in all respects and to pass on this military cultural heritage to future generations. The museum includes an exhibition hall for the period of the Ottoman Empire, and on the first floor there are exhibition halls for the period of the Republic. In these halls, the historical development of the gendarmerie forces is explained in chronological order with weapons, clothing, pictures and information panels.
