Garmo stave church is located on a hilltop near the entrance to the Open Air Museum. It is the most spectacular building in the area with its pointed dragon-headed tower on rooftops that stare into the horizon. The church was built early in 1200, but it was destroyed several times, and most recently it was destroyed in 1730. The church shows history from the Middle Ages to the present day so do not hesitate to visit it and enjoy the feeling of going back to ancient times.
