This church, known as the French Church, was built between 1270-1285. It is characterized by its magnificent building in the very old Romanesque style. It was initially a Dominican monastic church, but in 1623 it became a French-speaking Protestant church. It is one of the oldest churches in Bern and in Switzerland. You will find arches, ornaments, stained glass, giant windows, many beautiful towers, a stunning altar, and more. It is a church worth visiting if you are in Bern.
