The Franciscan Monastery, or as it is called the Church of the Virgin Mary of the Angels, is a Catholic monastic complex in Grodno, and is an architectural monument from the seventeenth century. The monastery complex was founded in 1635 AD, and it was originally a wooden monastery with a chapel of the Angelic Mother of God. It was destroyed during the Russo-Polish war in 1659 AD, and later restored. The monastery was distinguished by a unique architectural design of the basilica, comprising three large semi-circular apse passages, the central nave and the apse were designed as one volume and had a common gable roof, and the lower side aisles were inclined, which gives a different and distinctive elegance to the place.
