The former monastery of Santa Maria is located in the Valmarina area of Bergamo. It was built in 1150 AD by a group of nuns who were living there at the time. Its area is about 660 square meters. The building consists of a church, a monastery and a dining area. It has its fertility, as the nuns cultivated it to obtain food. Today, the place has turned into a historical building that tourists visit to see the remains of it and learn about its history.
