The fish market is located in Bab El Jebali Square in the center of Sfax. It is characterized by its bright colors, crowding, noise, reasonable prices, and pungent smell. In it, fishermen sell different types of fresh seafood, such as octopus, shark, tuna, oysters and other types of Mediterranean fish.​ This market also has other stalls selling various local products, such as spices, pickles, utensils, cooking utensils, and others.
