The artesian fountain, known as the Fish Fountain, is located in Victory Square in the center of Timisoara. It was built in 1957 AD, and was originally in the shape of a 5-pointed star, thanks to its name due to the carvings in the form of fish that carry it. A prime location in Timisoara, this fountain is an oasis of relaxation, loved by young and old alike, and is a favorite spot for photographers. In 2013, architectural lighting for the fountain was introduced, and lights placed on several levels were programmed to change color every few seconds.
