The Renaissance-style parliament building in Bern is located on high ground near the Aare River. It is a magnificent building with columns, domes and many distinctive statues, and around it you will find many picturesque fountains. In the building there are two rooms of the Swiss Parliament, meeting places for the National Assembly and the Council of States; In the east and west wings are the various federal agencies and the federal library.
