Built in the 19th century, Fabrik Synagogue is one of the most impressive buildings and places of Jewish worship in Timisoara. It combines many stunning architectural styles such as eclecticism, Marxism, Gothic and neo-Renaissance, and was designed by the famous Hungarian architect Lipót Baumhorn), has a similar shape and dimensions to those found throughout the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and for its importance and beauty of design, the synagogue was designated a Roman National Monument.
