This museum is the largest national biological station in Italy. It includes large groups of insects, spiders, reptiles and many small creatures that make up the largest animal biomass on the planet. The museum studies the history of the activity of these vital groups, and their ways of living, as well as providing them with a suitable environment for living. It also displays many anatomical models of these organisms. It is worth noting that the museum is located within a historic building that has been restored since the early 900s, and is part of the Agricultural Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
