Dong Xuan Market is a market in the center of Hanoi's old quarter. It was originally built by the French administration in 1889, and has been renovated several times, most recently in 1994 after a fire completely destroyed the market. Housed in a four-storey Soviet-style building, this market is known as Hanoi's largest indoor market, offering a wide range of goods such as seafood, meat, fresh vegetables, souvenirs, accessories, clothing and handicrafts, as well as electronic and household appliances.
