Bach Ma Temple is believed to be the oldest temple in Hanoi. This Buddhist temple was originally built in the 9th century by King Ly Thai To in honor of Bach Ma. The temple can be entered through ancient wooden doors To see the beautiful interiors and decorations painted in red, there is also a white horse statue inside, a mausoleum of Confucius and a Phoenician altar. The temple is intended for worshipers who come to it to burn incense and pray. It is a small temple that is easily accessible and provides an opportunity to see the locals practicing their beliefs.
