The inauguration of the Diocesan Museum of Naples, from 1646 AD, and the museum consists of exhibits on important topics of the Christian faith, such as the Flying Passage, and there is the statue of "San Gennaro", the patron saint of Naples, and the statues of "Mary", all of which are life models for Christians. Upstairs you have the "Sacrifice of Christ" section, followed by the "Martyrs" section and then the "Consecrated Life" of those who have expressed their faith through monasticism and religious groups. The museum covers more than 3000 square metres, and in the precious room you will discover a rare piece of part of the cross of Christ from the 14th century, with its gold chest from the 12th century, as well as frescoes, carvings, gold and silver medals and much more.
