Information about Danube Bridge
The Danube Bridge, formerly known as the Friendship Bridge, is a steel gabled bridge over the Danube, connecting the Bulgarian Bank to the south with the Romanian Bank to the north and the cities of Ruse and Giorgio respectively, and is one of only two bridges connecting Romania and Bulgaria, and the other is the New Europe Bridge between the cities of Vidin and calves. This bridge was inaugurated on June 20, 1954, and was designed by the Soviet engineers Andreev and Rudomazin, with a length of 2222.52 meters, and at that time was the only bridge over the Danube, shared by Bulgaria and Romania.
