Information about National Transport Museum
The National Transport Museum is located in the city of Ruse on the Danube, the only one of its kind in the country. It is located in the building of the first railway station in Bulgaria, which was designed and built in 1866 by the Barkley brothers. The museum exhibition is divided into two parts; In the station building and in the open air, where it displays many steam locomotives, various models of chariots of King Ferdinand I, the chariot made by the Turkish Sultan to go on tours, and many other interesting exhibits, this museum has been classified as the National Museum of Railway Transport and Communications in June 26, 1966 On the occasion of the centenary of railway transport in Bulgaria, it was declared an important historical monument in the country.
