Copetos Ecological Park is a protected natural area covering approximately 90.45 hectares of the state of Hidalgo. It is divided into three sections: recovery, restricted use, and intensive use. The first two correspond to the park's ecological reserve and the other consists of an eco-house, an interactive farm, a bio-conservation area, a botanical garden, a maze, an arboretum, an eco-play area, a bike path and pathways. Also located in the park are the Environmental Education and Training Center and the Forest Watch Center of the Genetic Resources Bank and Environmental Analysis. As for restricted use, the main objective is to conserve endemic, rare or endangered species and to ensure the reproductive events of plants and animals.
