It is a museum established by the municipality on May 31, 1899, and since that time the museum has started its activities with the aim of collecting and protecting all historical materials related to life and culture in Krakow from the earliest times to the present. Also aimed at the development of science, research and educational activities, the museum houses a large collection of drawings, documents relating to guild activities, stamps, weapons and other materials relating to the history of Krakow. It also has three shops where you will find souvenirs, replicas of historical coins, medals, jewellery, old maps and historical books.
