Colombo Lighthouse has origins dating back to the fifties of the twentieth century and a height of 29 meters. It is located within the buildings of the Sri Lankan Navy. It is also considered the symbol of the Colombo port. It has a spacious yard overlooking the ocean and a naval cannon fired at least once a year on the national day. Its visitors can enjoy the sunset and the panoramic view it provides of the Indian Ocean and the distant horizon.
