The first Roman Catholic church built in Transylvania, it is also the first Baroque church building in the province dating back to 1724. The church is distinguished by its unique architecture through the strong contrast between the sober exterior and the ornate and vibrant interior. The church attracts the attention of visitors with its narrow vertical windows, and the rich decorations that surround the main door, in addition to the works of the Bavarian artist Johannes König from the statues distributed throughout the church from the inside. The church yard also includes the most famous clock tower in the city, each 45 meters high.
