Information about City Hall
City Hall is a civic building in Cathys Park, Cardiff, and serves as Cardiff's center for local government. It was built as part of the civic center development in Cathay Park and opened in October 1906. It was built of Portland stone and is a significant early example of Edwardian Baroque architecture. The hall includes a clock tower, which is about 59 meters high, and includes a clock bell and four bells engraved on each of them with slogans in English. It also includes in its courtyards a fountain, a pond and two memorials. The memorial on the left is dedicated to Polish soldiers, airmen and sailors who sacrificed their lives during World War II and another monument. Dedicated to the victims of war .
