Information about Church of St Dominic
The Monastery of Saint Dominic and this church belonging to it is one of the most prominent and most important monuments in Trogir. It is a church dedicated to Saint Dominic. It was built by Cardinal Agostino Valier, who came to visit Dalmatia in 1579 AD. The church was originally present and consisted of only six altars, one of which was dedicated to Saint Dominic. One is for Mary Magdalene, and the remaining four are: Our Lady of Sorrows, Saint Prophet, Saint Vinco Versky, and Saint Catherine of Alexandria. At the same time, the church has a beautiful and distinctive interior design in terms of a group of paintings and drawings hanging on the walls, in addition to the decorations and inscriptions that fill the ceilings and interior surfaces.
