The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a Roman Catholic church that was founded in 1931 AD, located near the cathedral in front of the courthouse in Messina, and it replaces the previous church that was destroyed by the Messina earthquake in 1908. It is known in the city as the Carmine Church. It is considered an architectural masterpiece, as it was designed in the Baroque style by the architect Cesare Bazzani. The church is distinguished by its bright white walls decorated with silver ornaments and inscriptions, and on top of the church walls are a group of statues and stone carvings.
