The Basilica of San Domenico is a Romanesque religious church of a thirteenth century convent, located in the center of Piazza Vittorio Veneto in Matera, and is one of its distinctive religious monuments. The church has a slightly different design from the rest of the city's churches, as it includes the inner and outer courtyards, in addition to a number of cellars and distinctive secret inner rooms.
