An important historic Roman Catholic church in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It was built and decorated over a long period, from 1775 until the late 19th century. The church combines a Baroque facade with interior elements in neoclassical and modern style. Its nave has three aisles that you can enter from any of them. It has a lot of statues, murals and religious paintings, which are very large and have wonderful ornate walls.
