Dar Shawara or Dar al-Dabbagh is one of the three antique tanning houses in the Moroccan city of Fez. It was built in the eleventh century. It is the largest tanning house in the city. The house is located near the Saffarin School, on the bank of the river in the Fez al-Bali neighborhood, which is the oldest neighborhood in the city. The ancient city, Dar Chouara is a Moroccan Arab treasure, and a landmark in the center of the Moroccan city of Fez, the city that clung to tanning leather as a profession in which it preserved its distinction from other Moroccan and Arab cities, which made it the destination for marketing the authentic Moroccan and Arab heritage and its face.
